I speak on women’s health, full spectrum doula care, reproductive justice + the lived experience of being a woman in a body the world wasn’t built for.

Whether it’s a panel, a keynote, a workshop, or a multi-day retreat, the work is the same.  I tell the truth. I make people feel seen. They will walk away with something valuable. They walk away with the map.

Who I Am + What I Speak On

I’m Denawa Deniece, a Full Spectrum Doula + Holistic Hormonal Lifecycle Educator based in Charlotte, NC.

I work with women through every hormonal chapter of their lives.  From cycle awareness + conception, through pregnancy + birth, into postpartum + onward into perimenopause + beyond.  The whole arc.  Most women have never been given the compass let alone the full map.  I’m here to change that.

I came to this work after years of transformative trainings + my own birth story with my daughter.  Lived experience is my foundation.  Clinical-adjacent training, herbalism, holistic education + community work built the rest.

When I speak, I bring the warmth of someone you’d sit on the porch with + the clarity of someone who’s read the research, sat with the clients + lived the transitions herself.

Signature Keynote: The Four Transitions

Most women are taught to think about our body + lives in pieces + phases.  Period in one box. Pregnancy in another.  Menopause in the dustiest box in the back of the room to deal with later.  The wellness industry as a whole reinforces it.  Even our own conversations with each other reinforce it.

The truth?  Women’s bodies move through four major hormonal transitions across the lifecycle, + every single one of them is connected.  What happens in one shapes what happens in the next.

In The Four Transitions I walk audiences through the full arc:

The menstrual years, the fertility + birthing years, the postpartum years + the perimenopausal + beyond years.

I name what is happening in the body, what gets missed, what gets dismissed + what every woman deserves to know about how to care for herself in each chapter.  By the end, the women in the room understand themselves better than when they walked in.  The men in the room understand the women in their lives better than they did walking in + everyone leaves with the language they didn’t have before.

Format options:

-30-min keynote

-60-min keynote with Q+A

– 90-min talk + workshop

-Half-day intensive

Best for: Women’s health conferences, doula + birth-worker conferences, wellness retreats, women’s organizations, corporate wellness programming, faith communities, alumni associations

What I Speak On

Beyond the signature keynote, below are some of the topics that I most often speak on. Every talk can be adapted for keynote, panel, workshop or retreat format.

Reproductive Health + Disparities in Childbirth: The Black maternal health crisis is not a statistic. It is a story playing out in hospital rooms every single day. I speak on what the numbers actually mean, what is happening on the ground + what real change looks like from the perspective of a doula who is in those rooms.

Birth + Labor Education: The science + soul of it all. What nobody tells you about how labor works, what your body is doing, how to show up for it informed, supported + clear-eyed.

Full Spectrum Doula Support: What doulas actually do at any stage. What they don’t do. Why every woman + family system benefits from this kind of care + why doula access is a justice issue, not a luxury.

Well-being + Holistic Living: This is not yoga-pants woo woo wellness. This is lifestyle medicine. Cycle literacy, nervous system care, herbalism, rest as resistance + how Black + Brown women in particular reclaim wellness as our birthright, not a luxury.

Retreat + Longform Collaborations

Some of my most transformational work happens over multiple days + with long-form connections.

If you’re building a women’s retreat, a wellness intensive, a multi-day workshop, or a long-form program, let’s talk about doing this together intentionally.  I bring full spectrum expertise across women’s health, embodiment, herbalism + lifecycle education + I know how to weave that into a container that holds people from arrival to closing circle.

What it can look like

-Lead facilitator or co-facilitator across a multi-day retreat

-Featured guest expert with one or two flagship sessions

-Workshop facilitator on a specific topic within a larger program

-Ongoing programming partner across a series of retreats

If retreat work is what you’re planning, the conversation looks different than a one off panel inquiry.  Let’s connect + dive deep

What audiences walk away with

-Language for what they have been feeling but couldn’t name

-A clearer map of their own body + what to expect across the lifecycle

-Practical tools they can actually use, not vague wellness platitudes

-A sense of being seen + cared for, not lectured at

-The feeling that someone finally told them the whole truth

or as my clients often put it: she got me together

I don’t just talk about this work. I show up + do it. On stages, in classrooms, in studios, on the page. Here’s some of where you might’ve caught me.
